November 17 Ford Museum Tree Lighting

The Ab Nab Awen park area is one of my favorite spots in town.  The backdrop of the river, the Amway Grand, and the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum is stunning!  Every year the museum has a  holiday display of trees and twinkling lights, and there is even a  sing-along and refreshments.  It’s the sort of big city, small town event only Grand Rapids can pull off.  This year it’s Thursday, November 17 at 7:00 PM.

At Long Last – THE GRIFFINS ARE BACK! {With A SWEET Giveaway!}

As soon as the leaves started turning colors, my kids got excited.  Because it’s beautiful? Nope.  Because it means Christmas is coming? Not that either.  It’s because they know as soon as the leaves change colors, we must be close to the most wonderful time of the year…. hockey season.

Unfortunately, we can’t go to the season opener because Maybelle is having her tonsils out but I have good news.  YOU CAN! I am doing a quick turnaround giveaway and the winner will receive:

  • FOUR TICKETS to the first Griffins home game this Friday, October 14

  • A Griffins Potato Head

  • Passes to the Grand Rapids Public Museum

The winner will be chosen using Random.org on Wednesday.  That way, in the unlikely chance that you don’t win you still have time to use the code GRIFF at www.griffinshockey.com/promocode to save $3 off upper or lower level tickets.  While you’re on the Griffins site, you can also sign up for offers all season at the Fan Zone.

To enter the contest, all you have to do is head over to the Griffins website {if you don’t already know} and tell me who they are playing against for the home opener.  That’s it! Leave the answer with your name and an email address. For extra entries, tell a friend about the contest.  If they mention your name when they enter, you get TWO extra entries and they get ONE extra entry.  It pays to be friendly! {You may need to use the scroll bar to get to all of the questions!}

Good luck! Let’s Go Griffins!

This contest is now closed.
