You all know I firmly believe that kids need to be active, which is why Big Binder sports the “Active Kids” page during the warmer months with opportunities for kids’ races, kids’ runs, and all around fun. You also know that I love love love the YMCA, and that we have benefited ourselves from their family scholarship program.
I am in a very fortunate position to have the unique privilege of helping to raise money for the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids Strong Kids Campaign, and saving you money at a Grand Rapids Griffins Game. At the same time.
Sometimes, things just come together so beautifully I get tears in my eyes. I gently wipe them away, and take my family to a Griffins and watch them beat the snot out of the Texas Stars.

- Field trips for low income inner-city youth through Mid-City Adventure Club
- College field trips for the Minority Achievers mentoring program
- Scholarships for Family Fitness Fairs
- Transportation for low-income children to the Y for fitness and fun
