WOW.
As I started writing this post to explain why I haven’t written in over a week, my computer died for no apparent reason and I had to start over.
We just returned from our Florida vacation, where we stayed in a two bedroom condo with my Dad and sister. The living room had a pull out double bed and two cots, and we also had a kitchen, washer and dryer, two bathrooms, a balcony and a pool. Oh, and it was on the ocean, so the first thing we saw every morning were palm trees and beautiful, blue water.
I am definitely not looking at palm trees and an ocean this morning. It’s nice to be home; sort of. I already miss my Dad and Sister, and the warm, sunny, relaxed feeling I had all week. One thing our resort did not have was WiFi. I KNOW.
After two days of twitchy fingers, I realized I was not going to ‘get anything done’ all week. The draft posts I had written in advance – not going to be published. The projects I said I would do – not going to be done. My phone barely worked there.
And it was all OK. Ready to dive in at the crack of noon on this New Year’s Day, I took a deep breath and looked at my email account. My unpublished posts for y’all. Delete, delete, delete. One quick post, to wish you all a Happy New Year; and my laptop died.
I think I am not supposed to be done with my vacation from ‘getting things done’ just yet. I hope you enjoy a relaxing day with people you love. I’ll see you tomorrow

Sometimes being forced to take a break is much needed!
And that sounds like a great vacation.
BTW… it’s been far too long since I’ve been to your blog. LOVE the new theme/layout!

The beach is such a therapeutic place to hit that reset button & unplug. You deserve a break once in awhile too! Sounds like a fantastic vacation.

It was wonderful – I totally can’t get my head back into reality! What is this snow and going to school stuff? Blecch.

Oh c’mon now. Didn’t all that hot, sweaty sun and and sand in the shoes make you long for that glittery white stuff that makes you feel like you’re actually IN the snowglobe? LOL
