We have successfully started a tradition! The kids are excited to repeat the smashing success of “Spooky A.P.’s” restaurant. However, they have expanded their operations to include “Maybelle’s Desserts”. On the menu for the main course is:
- Mummy Dogs Dipped In Blood
- Mini Mummy Pizzas
- Mini Jack O Lantern Pizzas
- Plate of Bones
- Eyeballs
- Mummy Juice
Mummies are over represented this year, due the relatively low level of skill it takes to ‘wrap’ something. The actual dinner is tomorrow, but tonight we got a jump on the dessert: Skeleton Cupcakes.
This is what they are supposed to look like:

This is real life, folks. It looks more like a turtle was trying to climb over a cupcake, got stuck, and died there, but since chocolate frosting is involved I am going to go out on a limb and guess no one will complain. It’s just a frosted cupcake, with a white chocolate covered pretzel and some arms, legs, and a head freehand-ed on with frosting {which we ran out of after about 4 cupcakes. Note to self: buy a bigger tube next time}.

Super cute! And I love that you posted what they actually looked like. That has happened to me all too many times =-) And I happen to think yours look pretty good!
I would love for you to come link-up at http://livinglifeintentionally.blogspot.com/search/label/Linkey%20Parties. I also have an amazing My Memories Software giveaway going on.

Hey, your cupcakes look yummy to me.
Oh my, my cupcakes would have turned out like turtles, too. I used to be able to decorate like that magazine picture, but lost the gift in my old age.

Ah, yes. They say the ability to decorate cupcakes is one of the first things to go. So sad, really.
