I grew up in a small town. “Downtown” was a couple of blocks long but looking back; there was a lot packed into those few blocks. We had a hair salon, a pizza place, an ice cream parlor, a movie theater, and a jewelry store. I remember one year my sister bought me a silver and turquoise necklace from the jewelry store. She saved up for it; week after week she put away a few dollars from her allowance to get her big sister a Christmas present.
Her big sister still wears that neclace
Rogers Jewelers has the same feel to it as our locally owned, downtown jewelry store did. Calm. Old-fashioned service – the kind where people actually talk to you. The jewelry is nicely displayed in cases and there are paintings by local artists on the walls. And if you peek your head outside the store, there is a pizza place, a theater, a candy store, and an ice cream parlor…
Today (Saturday December 4) Rogers Jewelers is having an open house from 10-7. You can go see what I mean about the atmosphere and service, and… they’re having some great specials and giveaways along with free food from their neighbors at Buffalo Wild Wings and Jimmy Johns. Right now, they are having a “Dreaming of a White Christmas” promotion you’ll want to know about that could make your purchases free if it snows on Christmas. Awesome.
I received a gift card from Rogers Jewelers, but all opinions, childhood in a small town, and silver and turquoise neclace from my little sister are my own.

bummed you missed the fondue! It was fun. And I agree, I love locally owned stores like this one.
