Recipe Roundtable: Chiquita + Yogurt Smoothie (And a Giveaway!)

Hey guys – BigBinder here – my co-host Sarah’s Deals has a fun giveaway and I didn’t want you to miss out on it!  This is the same thing that’s on her site today, but you can enter the giveaway and link up your recipe from here.  See you next week with a great recipe from me for Sausage Filled Crepes :)
Chiquita + Yogurt Smoothie:

I was recently offered the chance to try and review Chiquita Smoothies. I took the coupons to the store and looked for the four flavors (Strawberry Banana, Peach Mango, Banana Colada and Mixed Berry). I was only able to find Strawberry Banana and Mixed Berry at my local store, so I grabbed a couple of those and pretty much ran home to try them out.

Over the last few weeks we have played around with a variation. I also took a few minutes to check out their website and there is a fun little fruit swapping game that you can play to win coupons. It’s very simple and my kids have enjoyed it a ton!

The first time I made the Chiquita Smoothies, I made them per directions:

Open the can and microwave for 30-60 seconds, then dump into blender.
Add 6 ounces of water and 2 cans of ice.
Blend until smooth.

Doing this, we liked them, but felt that they were a little tart. SO, we decided to try a little twist the second time around.

In the place of the 6 ounces of water, we added a 6 ounce cup of strawberry yogurt and VOILA!! Smooth, sweet, yummy Chiquita + Yogurt Smoothies!

And here’s how you can get your hands on some smoothies:
Three winners will receive 2 coupons each for FREE Chiquita Smoothies PLUS a Size Medium “Mango Tango Time” TShirt.

Two ways to enter:
One Entry: Fill out the form below and comment on which flavor you want to try.
One Entry: “Like” Chiquita Smoothies on Facebook, then come back here and let me know that you do. (If you want, you can let them know that Sarah’s Deals sent you!)

This weekly feature is co-hosted by and Each blog will host it’s own recipe, but share a common linky. The co-hostesses links will appear at the top of the list and you are welcome to join in.

Please link to your ACTUAL POST and not just your home page so people can find it easier. Also please put the recipe title in parentheses to help out the other readers. Old recipe posts are fine. While we appreciate a link back or the addition of the button above, it is NOT required. Thank you for participating.

  2. You need to pimp your posts more on Twitter – for some reason you get buried in my reader. Wish I had remembered this linky yesterday!

    Big Binder Reply:

Well, if you say pimp my posts, I shall pimp my posts.
