I hope this counts as a Hobby Hump Day activity! We went to the Sidewalk Chalk Flood downtown a few weeks ago (I’ve been waiting for a Hobby Hump Day, but Hobby Hump Girl went to Mexico for a while). It was 70 degrees, sunny, and there was nice cool jazz playing. Rosa Parks Circle was, for a brief moment (hopefully not a one time event), a cultural mecca. It was as diverse a crowd as you could want – including the very young and the very old.
Here are a few pictures:

It was an amazing day. I was so proud of Grand Rapids, and of my kids. For more Hobby Hump Day, head over to 3inunder3.

That looks like an awesome event and I am loving this new bloggy layout. VERY cool.

Cool looks like it was a fun event! We do something similar in my hometown called Chalkfest, little kids come and draw but artists work all day on some really awesome art too! Check out some pictures from it on Volume One’s website!
